General  
News
  National Telecommunication Commission of Thailand (NTC) is the national body  
  established under the Ministry of Industry. The governing body for NTC is the  
  Industrial Product Standards Council so responsible for policy approvals  
  RF/Telecommunication in Thailand, sets the priority of standard to prepared,  
    recommends qualified persons for the Minister to appoint to technical committees,  
    arbitrates and awards licenses under its certification scheme

Purpose  

  This information describes for preparation, submittal, evaluation, and certification of RF/Telecom products as defined in the scope for the certification program of NTC, based on the local accredited testing, test data provided by other NTC accredited lab.

  3. Applicant
- Manufacturers, Importers, Traders, Retailers or Advertisers (local/oversea)
- The applicants must be having “Local Representative” in Thailand only.
- Applicant wish to submit applications must be “Local Rep.” have a “Suppliers Code” and submitting in Thai language.

  4. Type of Approval
There are 3 types of NTC certification program
1. Class A approval
2. Class B approval and
3. Supplier’s Declaration of Conformity (SDoC).

  Class A Approval
The RF/Telecom equipment shall test with NTC accredited testing laboratory and submit documentation to register with NTC for controlling. So the applicant will get Registration Number and Certification

  Class B Approval
The requirement and application procedure is the same for Class A. The only difference is Class B can submit documents CB, CE, FCC etc. certification and test report under lab accredited ISO / IEC 17025 without testing. So the applicant will get Approval Number and Certification.

  SDoC
The products voluntary, is under this type so the applicant shall have local representative make self declaration and submit TCF (The Technical File) documents to NTC.

  5. Scope of Products
- RF/Telecom, Mobile, Phone, Equipment terminal or concerning with Telecommunication. The group of product covers:


  6. Lead Time
The approximate lead-time to complete certification is around 3-4 wks.

  7. Basic Documentation Required
1. Application form in Thai language.
2. Technical documents of products
  - Catalog / Brochure / Photos
  - Technical specification
  - Operation manual / Service manual
  - Circuit Diagram
  - Other certificate and test report (if have)
  - Etc.

  8. Samples
Sample is required for Class A or sometime require conformity check of Class B

  9. Factory Inspection
Not required

  10. Marking
Mark for mandatory certification is NTC mark
